Our Mission Is Simple

We look forward to providing a community and a space that is inclusive, friendly and welcoming where we can all explore, learn and develop our passion for dance.

Dance comes with a host of benefits (physical, mental, emotional and social) and we believe that everyone should have access to and enjoy this amazing activity.

If you have the desire, you can dance and we can help, no matter your skill, background or age!

Step onto the floor and dance out the door!

Meet Our Instructors

Lorna Jackle, Senior Instructor

I love dancing, but teaching is my real passion. In the past thirty years, I have worked on developing my teaching and dancing skills to better serve my students. Good quality information and a relaxed atmosphere, mixed with a dose of humor, make for enjoyable and inspiring lessons that allow the student to learn with ease. Partner dance, for me, is the ultimate. It’s great for exercise, social interaction and keeping the brain active. I look forward to being part of your dance journey!

Chris Drumm, Senior Instructor

Over the past 17 years I’ve had the pleasure of teaching dance full time for the lovely people of Ottawa.  Starting with the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in 2006 I was honoured as Fred Astaire Canada's “National Top Male instructor” 8 times in my 10 years there.  I was also given the opportunity to perform at multiple prestigious Balls and Galas such as, the Viennese Winter Ball (for whom I also trained the debutants for their dance), the Fur Ball, Steel Toes and Stilettos, and Dancing with the Easter Seals Stars.  I’ve spent the last 6 years proudly developing my own curriculum to help anyone from beginner to advanced level ballroom/latin dancer be the best they can be on the dancefloor.  Whether it’s choreographing that perfect routine, preparing for a competition, or enjoying the many fun, and challenging benefits of becoming a better social dancer, my students have always gained from my fun loving approach to life and dance.  I strive to make my classes a harmonious blend of fun and learning and bring passion and kindness into all I do.

Our Dance Studio

The studio itself is warm and inviting and more importantly it’s the container that is home to a group of wonderful people. The teachers, students and dancers are what make our studio so amazing. In 2003, it was originally Lorna’s Dance Collective and was followed by DanceTown in 2014. In 2022 we created a collaborative of businesses and Dance 2 Live is happy to be a part of this great collection of dance. When you are ready to become a part of our dance community, we will be there with welcoming arms!
